« on: May 02, 2016, 09:52:02 AM »
Anyone fish Drano yet this year fish counts are still low but starting to climb.  Hopefully going to make it down in a few weeks to give it a shot.

I fished at the Wind River earlier. It was a tough go. 1 day guided, 1 day in my own boat. 2 hookups with the guide, zilch in my boat. I can't even buy a bite from a Springer this season! Hopefully it picks up and the numbers climb quickly! Good luck!
Fish hard, hunt harder!

Had 4 buddies in a boat today, one take down. Said they saw maybe 40 fish landed for 100 boats.

Week full of 10,000 plus a day going over the dam should make for better fishing next week.

Half a fish per boat is decent. It's white hot when it gets to a fish a boat.

This is crazy....
What other fishery is considered white hot when it gets up to one fish per boat.

Lots of boats get zero.  Those that know what they are doing get more than 1.

For example, when the Buoy 10 fishery gets good catches are around a fish per boat.  I'm far from the best or most experienced down there, but can get my 1 king a person limit relatively easily day in and day out when it is that good.  There's lots of folks that are rather casual fishers that don't catch many fish.

Fished both Wind & Drano a bit the last couple of weeks.  I've only caught one but have had at least one takedown every trip.  Prior to yesterday I'd been seeing 5 or 6 a day caught.  Yesterday I saw about 15 (and certainly more that I didn't see) & two boats that came in when I did both had fish.  Try again tomorrow, the dam counts looking good.

I was down there Thursday. We had 10 take downs and landed 6 fish. 4 adults and 2 jacks. Fishing was pretty good to say the least.
