A little thread jacking here...but just curious...do any of you buy Idaho OTC deer or elk tags? Since I bought a general non-resident hunting license in order to apply for the goat tag I'm thinking of buying a deer tag and hitting the panhandle for whitetail.

You should seriously consider a reduced bear tag.  $42.00 I think?  Good for a bunch of units in the panhandle.  You can hunt for spring bear until June 15, and then hunt fall bear too.  Spring bear season is a great time to scout.   :twocents:

thanks man that's a good idea

Get the PointHunter app and it will message you if you drew.  That way you do not have to keep going back and checking for any states draw results.

Is that factoring in the fact that you are non resident?

No dice for me with Goat. Pretty glad actually now that I have a Utah Bull tag coming my way. Would have a hard time getting the time necessary for both  :yike:
