Just picked up a pair of Kuiu Yukon Rain Pants for cheap.
« on: May 13, 2016, 01:35:26 AM »
Verde color, Brand new, Picked it up in size XXL for 130$ shipped to my door. Was that a smart move? Anyone have experience with these pants?
I see they're 299$ on they're website so I figured it was a no brainier, just want to hear some feedback.

Smoochie girl must be feeding you well!

Verde is a nice pattern.  If they fit they should treat you well.
He asked, Do you ever give a short simple answer?  I replied, "Nope."

Well Im 210 and wear a 36-38 depending on the brand, The XXL pants are a size 39 so I figure with my usual long jons I usually wear under my hunting pants, It should work out perfectly. If not a belt wont have a problem holding an extra inch.
If they really don't fit, I should have no problem selling them.

I have the KUIU chugach, in the same size. I wear under layers under them so they are about perfect. They are the best rain gear I've used.

I really like all my Kuiu gear. I have the Chugach rain gear and love it. Best stuff I've ever used. The Yukon is basically your worst weather hardcore rain gear. U should enjoy it!

I haven't picked up any of there rain gear yet But my collection of Kuiu is growing, I picked up three jackets last year, testing out each stile for fit and durability, waiting on another sale to pick up the pants.

I hike alot of tall grass off the trails, I notice in normal cloths my pants seem to be completely soaked within 100 yards of the truck so I like the fact that these will help with that. I read on a few forums including this one for hiking in wett environment like the wetside here that as far as KUIU goes these are the go to pants for bottoms then the Chugach top with a few other layers inbetween.

I use the chugach for hunting but I also picked up the Yukon jacket last year and it's my favorite jacket I own. It'll definitely serve you well in this rainy state.

Same here, I also started utalizing a pair of gaiters. So that way I didn't have to always wear rain pants just for wet grass. I stI'll wear the gaiters with my Chugach rain gear just for the extra protection from the awesome blackberries we have here!
