Reliable calipers for reloading?

I am in the market for a pair of calipers for reloading and wanted to hear what everyone else is using. Feel free to offer advice on brands to look at and ones to stay away from. I am also hoping I can get a reliable pair for under $100. Thanks

Always used Mitutoyo calipers when I was a CNC machinist. Amazon has them for $135 bit overkill for reloading but very accurate.

I have no problems with my RCBS analog calipers.  Digital would be nice for some tasks.

I used Dial calipers most of my career and they can be just as accurate again

I've been using my old Starrett dial calipers for years but spendy. I've found the digital calipers from Harbor Freight to be just as accurate and under $15 on sale, my set was under $10. I do need to re zero it more often than the Starrett.

I use the cheapo a from harbor freight also. Been using the same set for 7 years without having to change the battery even!

Agree, I see no reason to spend big $$ for a reloading caliper.

Ha, Wadu1, I was thinking the same thing, but I have only used my HF one a couple of times, and not yet for reloading.

My RCBS Stainless Dial Caliper is 30 years old and are fine for this purpose.  I have a Mititoyo and it may be more accurate, I have never checked one against the other but have checked the Miitoyo and the RCBS against my micrometer from time to time.

Just stay away from the plastic ones.

Or a second place choice would be Starrett. I wouldn't trust anything else.

I have a Hornady dial caliper. I think I paid $20-$25 for and have no complaints.

If money is not a problem, by all means buy the higher end brands    ITS just like why some people like Savage arms others like Brownings
