Never Judge A Buck To Early
« on: August 03, 2016, 05:58:23 AM »
The first picture I got of this Whitetail buck led me to believe he wasn't going to be much. I stand corrected. The dates at the bottom of the pictures are accurate.

I was 15 years ago, but I'm in a wheelchair now and hunt with a rifle. Oh how I miss it! It'll take an bow hunter to get this buck. He is in some extremely thick stuff.

That is some great antler growth.  Are using a supplement?  I have been using antlermax the last two years and can really see a difference in antler growth.  This year might be a little tainted by the wet spring we have had and all the food available.

Thanks Timberstalker! I am really hoping to get a picture of him shined. It would be quite the sequence if I did.

Rainier10... That's so funny you ask. I usually just use salt/corn, but we had a Feedstore go out of business and I ended up buying them out of AntlerMax. I think I got eight bags for $40 total. I put 100 LBs where I've been getting the pictures of this buck. I really did not want to be a believer, but it has to be more than a coincidence right? I've had a couple 5x elk in there too, but the growing rate of their antlers seems about right for elk. Anybody else using AntlerMax?

Really cool pics, it's like he posed for you! Did you say you can't get to him?  I suppose you have someone already in mind if you can't?

I think I could get there, but it would not be a pleasant trip! A friend of mine that runs these cameras with me is all over it. I'm that guy that won't be too upset if he makes it through another season…sheds.
