My 11year old made dinner tonight
« on: August 09, 2016, 07:32:03 PM »
What a meal! Youngest daughter made dinner. Whitetail back straps, grilled sweet onions, garlic mashed potatoes and gravy in a bacon bowl, steamed carrots and a buttered roll. After I ate the mashed potatoes I ate the bacon bowl, delicious.

I didn't say it would be easy, I said it would be worth it.

Heck no, it was delicious.  Might be the cleanest my plate has been since the last time she made dinner.

The last meal she made was bacon wrapped meatloaf.  That was pretty awesome as well.

Everything is better with bacon.

I see a trend there.

One night she made a topping for ice cream that was some sort of hot fudge/caramel mix.  When you poured it on the ice cream it hardened immediately.  Kind of like the chocolate on the Klondike bar.  I remember as a kid we had some sort of ice cream topping that did the same thing when you poured it on ice cream.

Anyways that was her one big venture outside of bacon.

She really has it dialed in and knows what she likes, bacon and ice cream.  I will let you know if she figures out how to combine the two.

I've had bacon maple bar donuts so I'm sure there's got to be bacon ice cream.
