Youth whitetail
« on: August 12, 2016, 09:23:42 AM »
My daughter took her hunter safety test this year and I'd like to know if anyone was willing to share some general areas in the youth hunting GMUs. I bow Hunt and know the area around north Central washington very well but have never ventured outside of it. She will be rifle hunting so she will be the only hunter and I'll be along for the ride  (my wife may go she is new into hunting also) thanks for any help.

 :hello:
Welcome to the site and congrats to your daughter.

I will send you a PM in a minute.  You might get one from @Woodchuck also.

There was an SCI thread that was doing a youth hunt and in that thread there was another member offering access for youth.  I will try to find that and copy it into this thread.

At the top of the page you will see " My Messages" click on that and you will see a message from me.

No worries, you should have a message in your inbox.

Here is the link to the thread I was talking about.

http://hunting-washington.com/smf/index.php/topic,196429.0.html

It's also at the very top of topics on the Deer Hunting page.

In that thread there is a member that offered to open his property up for youth hunters that didn't get drawn for the SCI thing.  Not sure what GMU his property was in.

Good luck this year and I hope you have a great time in the woods with your family.

Welcome to the site.

Unfortunately both the SCI hunts and the private landowner hunts were all filled.

Hope you and your daughter have a great hunting season, even if she doesn't harvest a deer.
