Cellular Trail Cameras

Anyone use the cellular trail cams? I have a couple places that have cell service that I don't get to very often. I would like to give one a try. Any feed back is appreciated.

I've set up several.  The trick is cell coverage.  Had to use a large external directional antenna with cable so I could orient it higher and point it at the nearest tower. 

Very cool but a little pricey.   Used Panda cameras

     Using them as a security device is a good idea if you can conceal it. I've heard that Fish and wildlife commission is not to wild about the idea. They wont let you to fly and hunt on the same day due to ethics. They certainly don't want someone watching football on the couch waiting for a phone call telling them there is a buck on camera in the back 40. I don't want to spend that kind of money today to have it banned for hunting tomorrow. I'm not sure if or when the commission is gonna take action on this.

I use HCO Spartan GoCams.  So far pretty pleased with them.  Regarding the above comment, I really don't think someone should be concerned about potential ban or whatever from F&W.  Most folks using these are in all likelyhood, a good distance away from the cams themselves.

Yes you need cell coverage, as they suggest three bars.  However I have had one of mine working showing one bar for a short period.  Pretty nice photos.  The trees in the first photo look tilted because a bear played with the cam.
