Not as of this last weekend but should be soon
In archery we have something like the way of the superior man. When the archer misses the center of the target, he turns round and seeks for the cause of his failure in himself.

Anyone know the tribal netting schedule for the mouth this year? Last year it was Sunday through Thursday so every one of my days off it sucked!

Probably 7 days a week... The big washout last year mixed with nets blocking the mouth really messed up this fishery...

No emergency rules in effect for the samish. Not sure why it would be closed

Thinking of Goin out Thursday. Would be nice to hit the first day of them being in but it's still so early.

Net boats have not been catching any. Silvers are starting to show before the kings.
Cut em!

That makes me not want to go.

And what are the legal hours? 1 hour before sunrise.

Correct, but if the tribe is netting it's almost pointless anymore.  :bash:

Hit both incoming tides on the Samish today. Fish were few and far between with more in the morning than the evening, probably because the tribes started netting at 4pm. Saw one small native jack caught and released and a total of 3 seals!

I won't fish this river except for Sunday's now as I work Saturdays and the tribe schedule is 4pm Sunday through 4pm Friday now until there's no more salmon or something I guess?  >:(

There's no shortage of reasons to NOT fish the Samish.

I had some good times there when I was younger. Loved fishing the slot on the mud bank immediately above the bridge. That is until I was chasing a fish one day and found a strategically placed (and invisible due to mud covering it) sheet of plywood that sent me A** over tea kettle into the ditch. The float fishing rule ultimately took me out of the game, I loved free drifting eggs with no weight.
I hunt, therefore I am.... I fish, therefore I lie.

U don't have to float.
