First buck of the season for me. Taking advantage of the second tag this year so told myself the first 3 point or better was gonna be meat. Now the pressures off and I can trophy hunt during late archery season.
The last pic is a little perspective on just how steep the packout was. 1600 vertical feet in less than 1 mile

My blacktail from Saturday. Hiked in nearly 3 miles to find him and a buddy walking down the middle of the road. Shot him at 30'

Just a typical forky.  I had a shortened season this year so it was a meat hunt, but i did pass on a cool looking Spike the night before.  Shot on 10/22 with a .270 WSM.
