Opening Day
« on: September 01, 2016, 08:01:54 AM »
Got up late this morning, couldn't find a right hand glove, running late, forgot to put new blades on last year's broadheads....

Of course, I have two bucks come in at 6:08 and hang out for a half hour as close as five yards.  Too bad our camera is so sucky in low light conditions.  The pair is at about 13 yards and the one looking at me saw the light on the camera at 7 yards, but eventually walked off calmly.

These were both nice bucks, but I kind of have my thoughts on the really big bodied guy I saw earlier this year.

Hope everyone has as good of a morning out there!  Congratulations to @seth30 for a nice doe down!

Yes, the only fuzz I am still seeing here is on most of the spikes.

Here's a young guy that just shed his velvet. Notice this is actually a selfie, my glasses are in the edge of the photo.  He was about three yards away.  I think this might be the jerk that ate some of my peppers and stripped the leaves off of three of my apple root stock grafts... SITTING ON THE DECK and ate some stuff IN MY ATTACHED GREENHOUSE... last week.  Luckily for him, he's a youngster.   :chuckle:  This is what I have to put up with when I get home from crabbing.   8)      :chuckle:

I'm looking forward to seeing him next year.  Fortunately, he has a couple of identifying cuts on his ear so we can tell if it is him again.
