340 is quiet
« on: September 11, 2016, 12:49:07 PM »
Hunted east of watt and found zero sign of elk. Lots of deer but no elk. Know of 1 cow taken and nothin else. Crossed the highway and found water, green grass and elk. No shooters but some good bulls even had a 2x2 at ten yards . That was fun and will back in there in a couple days.good luck everybody.

Spent the weekend up in the little naches and only called in one bull, heard about 2 replies all weekend.  It was a little better on the nile side, had some action over there.  The East Side Elk Mafia has drawn blood again, one cow down Saturday so far.  It will get better.

Well, they certainly weren't going off where we were at in 340 but I was able to get this 7x6 to show himself after about 2 hours of talking with him Saturday morning.  My buddy Dave poked him at about 35 yards.
Sunday morning we had elk talking all around us but no shooters would show themselves.
