Clean/Dry sight picture

I am hoping for some feedback here from the Weatside guys on keeping optics binoculars and scopes clear in the rain forest. I utilize a Nikon pen and have been using the butler creek caps but have lost one recently and that got me thinking about there potentially being a better way.

I use a elk hide covering the lens,cut for the straps on the bino's. just flip the elk hide up and have a look. sure it gets wet but have done this for 20 yr's.works for me

I've used Butler Creek caps on all my scopes and do not open them untill it's time to shoot....as far as binos I use cat crap and it works decent....it's really hard to keep them completely fogproof...I have a bino cover zip tied to my binos and when im not using them the cover is always on keeping them dry. Also when it's cold and wet out and your glassing try to not breath on the lense as that's a major factor in fogging.

Scope Coat Bino Bib.  I'm not in the rainforest anymore, but I really like the bino bib on my Swaro binos.

I have three of these and have given two as gifts.  They keep my binocular lenses clear and pretty dry around western WA and have been fairly good at being dust proof in central/eastern Wa and Montana.

I have a lens cover that goes over both viewing lenses and Bushwacker flip open covers over both objective lenses on my main binos.  I also use cat crap.   System works as well as anything.  I have toyed with keeping disposable hand warmers on the bino's so they would be less likely to fog when you pull them up.  That might work well with the bino bib.
