I will still stay on my ritual of going into snake areas November 15th or later for fun.Here's one I killed last week. Shouldn't of been in the area I was working in or it wouldn't of been killed. Glad I didn't find it when I was in the brush.
If I recall this is a very early upland opener so that may have something to do with it.

Ran into one myself on opening day. One more step and eeeyikes! Managed to get the dog steered away and had plenty of time to do a photo op. Hopefully now that it's started raining on the east side this little boogers will head for hibernation!
