Beautiful pic Bean. I have always wanted to get a shot like that in the narrows. Every time that I have been in there, it's crawling with people.

thanks! These places are only going to get busier as the internets make them a hallmark of tourism. The body count slows down once you get past Wall Street. By the time I reached these hanging gardens I was the only person left and had it all to myself, except for the occasional small group who were doing point-to-point.

One other thing to keep in mind is that you don't necessarily have to have all people removed from your frame, just enough so that the remaining hajj are in constant motion. The closer to the entrance you are the more likely people are screwing around in one place and not just hiking through. If you have 2-3+ second exposure you not only get that nice silky water effect but you'll also keep people from painting the sensor too long in any one place and they may either disappear completely or be easily cloned out if they're in the distance. If you're shooting UWA on a FF to get the emphasis on foreground it becomes a lot easier as the background shrinks. I shot most of my photos at 16mm as that's the widest I could go and next time I want to go back with a 14mm.

PathfinderJR and I climbed Mount Adams when he was 12.  At the summit.
Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes.  That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.
