If you have been serious about getting a quality spotter this product line update represents an outstanding opportunity.  The new one has the new features, but the older Razor does not want for much.

Ordered one of the 65s Sunday from Midway USA for $1169.99, with free shipping, and yes, it's the new version.

Yes I got it this weekend!  Excellent clarity!  I haven't taken it out in the field yet, so from my house I only can look about 600 yards, but it I was very impressed at that distance.

I'm researching the best spotter for the money and see that cabelas has the angled 85 on sale at $999.
What is everyone's opinion on it?
Pros and cons to the 65 vs. 85?
I've never owned a good spotter but now that I live in Wenatchee I've been able to get out way more and need to have a good spotter to go with my new Swarovski binos I picked up this summer

That's a deal for the 85. It's  not the the newer one but they were normally $1600. I have 1 and it's  great. Not the greatest for packing around but great to look through. Just get a good tripod and panhead.

I thought that was the new one.  I suppose the 85 is bigger for packing vs. the 65. Also not sure about angled vs straight yet.

An outstanding price.  We have an angled Razor 85 and it is pretty heavy, but it is a fabulous scope.

its prob not the best for throwing in the pack.
The 65 is prob better for that.

I picked up a Vortex Razor Angled HD 20-60x85with tripod, mount, & phoneskope from a member.  Can't wait to get it tomorrow and try it out in the Swakane this weekend for some late archery scouting!!  Should be an interesting hunt from what I hear.  Hoping to find a more remote spot to get away from the crowds.
