Yeah, asking Pope for lens advice gets expensive.  Everytime he gives me a suggestion I know its gonna cost me at least a grand.     But I guess you can't put a price on quality.  That's the line I give my wife anyway.

Tell me about it.  I have been tracking my UPS shipment and most everything will be here by the fourth.  I shouldn't have been such a cheap ass and just did second day air for an extra $30 bucks.

I have a budget just like you guys so I know how you feel tbrad.  I still need to purchase a 400mm f4 DO.  I think the race is on between a few of us to get one first.  I can tell you I don't think it's going to be this year for me.  With my wife being unemployed, a desire to get my truck paid off, and roth ira's it is not looking good.  At least business has been good.

Yeah my money is on Rob getting the 400mm first.  Then renting it out to the rest of us he'll have it paid off in a year.  I hope you know I wasn't complaining just teasing you a bit.

I had an idea for a good spacer instead of using blue plastic like I did phool...  Get the perfect sized black o-ring.  Or you can have one machined and paint it to match.
