For a bottle of whiskey I'll modify about anything you want...

Ok does it have to have a specific mount ?? or are they all about the same to modify ??  :dunno:

Yeah, asking Pope for lens advice gets expensive.  Everytime he gives me a suggestion I know its gonna cost me at least a grand.   :'(  But I guess you can't put a price on quality.  That's the line I give my wife anyway.

Not only that but its expensive to get into it, just like everything, but once you have the gear its relatively cheap.

Tell me about it.  I have been tracking my UPS shipment and most everything will be here by the fourth.  I shouldn't have been such a cheap ass and just did second day air for an extra $30 bucks.

I have a budget just like you guys so I know how you feel tbrad.  I still need to purchase a 400mm f4 DO.  I think the race is on between a few of us to get one first.  I can tell you I don't think it's going to be this year for me.  With my wife being unemployed, a desire to get my truck paid off, and roth ira's it is not looking good.  At least business has been good.   :twocents:

Yeah my money is on Rob getting the 400mm first.  Then renting it out to the rest of us he'll have it paid off in a year.  I hope you know I wasn't complaining just teasing you a bit.

I had an idea for a good spacer instead of using blue plastic like I did phool...  Get the perfect sized black o-ring.  Or you can have one machined and paint it to match.
