As a professional farrier of 23 years I've made plenty of horseshoes, pritchels, and other tools. If you guys want to see some awesome metalworking you should check out the "world championships of black smithing" on YouTube. Tons of in depth videos concerning how to improve your smithing.

"WCB" holds lots of competitions all over the place. Several every year in the northwest.

In my opinion the best practice you can get in your forge is by making chain or gate hooks.

I've made plenty of shoes out of rebar or old rasps. I once made a pair of bullriding Spurs out of 000 plates. They were to neat to use so I hung em on the wall of the shop I made em in. They're still hanging up after 15+ years

Our family make handmade gifts for Christmas, I made my daughter a yanagiba sushi knife.  She is a very good cook I think she will like it.

its made of 1095, differential quench, hallow grind on back side, flat grind on front, handle is ash/cherry

Yes 8 wires forge welded to 1/2” round. Used a peace of 1/4” round in the center at the end.

I hope to get something up and running soon. I might try and make some dice to start.
