The wife has bought a few of those quinoa packages from costco where you add the water and microwave it. I wonder if this would work somehow for packing in? I'm not familiar with eating quinoa any other way so this is all new to me but I enjoy it, maybe not as much as my white rice but I try to pack nutritious food when packing on overnight somewhere.

Wife makes quinoa bites in muffin pans with BBQ chicken, deer, beef or whatever Meat on top.  :drool:

Those of you that use quinoa as backpack food. Do you cook it like at home or boil it and dehydrate it first?
