Deer multi season question
« on: February 22, 2009, 01:55:00 PM »
Last year I applied and wasn't selected.  Two weeks before the general season, I was notified that I was selected and had my plans set for the year so I didn't purchase it.  Does anyone know if my preference points go back to zero for not purchasing it?

Yes I believe you lost your points. At least I know I did the first year they had the multi-season permits. I was drawn for one of them the first time, didn't purchase it. Then a couple months later received a letter saying I was selected for the other one, and I didn't purchase it either. My points for both deer and elk multi-season went to zero. I haven't applied since.

I lost my point the second year I think, was drawn for the elk 2nd round but never notified and they jerked my points >:(. I just put in for my spring bear and noticed a spot to submit the multi season deer and elk, I don't remember this from last year I thought once you bought it you were automatically submitted??? I went through the process anyway just in case, anyone know what the... ?

I was checking out the list of hunts and points that I have applied for and have accumulated over the last 4 years, and noticed that they stated that I drew for multi-season elk in 2006,when I had not ever received any information on this. Fired off a letter to fish and wildlife and after a week received an e-mail saying (after review, since you never purchased this tag we are awarding you a elk bonus point)! Food for thought?

I have applied the last two years but have yet to draw, odds would say I have a decent chance this year?

I am the most unlucky person in the world.  My brother in the last three years has been drawn for deer twice and elk once.  I have yet to get drawn.  The only reason I put in for elk is the chance to hunt the west side for branch bulls.

My luck this year I'll get drawn multi-season elk and I'll also finally draw my Peaches Ridge tag :chuckle:  Oh well I guess if I ate my branch tag I could still join the orange sea during rifle season.

Multi-Season Permit Application
Deadline is February 28
Hunters are reminded that the deadline for purchase of Multi-season Permit applications is February 28, 2009.  Applications are automatically submitted once purchased.
There is another part of the website that says you do have to submit them though, so I did it anyway.

I called the game department and they stated, "Once you purchase the application you have to go online and submit just as you would with all other permits." Hopefully that will help you out.

I'm trying to put in as a group leader with my dad.  But it wont let me.  I thought we could now put in as a group.  WTF.  Did anyone put in as a duo?  If so how.
