If I dry them I use a strainer.

Yup.
Soak up cure for an hour, strain unlit done dripping, place in plastic pag, let soak back up for a day or two, and freeze if not using in a couple days.
I prefer to freeze in a vacuum pack bag and then vacuum pack after frozen.
Just remember to cut open before thawing or you will have a mess of popped eggs.

I put them on wire cooling racks and let them get nice and firm to stay together better.  Some people like a more wet egg, all depends on your preference.

I've dried them in a strainer, I have cured them cut them not always in that order, but then lay them on news paper, roll them over the next day. after dry as I want, i'll add some borax to help cure and keep them dry, jar them up. Squid

if i dry my eggs(not often these days since i save them for salmon and like them wet), i've always used newspaper on cardboard.
you can still get gas in heaven, and a drink in kingdom come,
in the meantime, i'll be cleaning my gun

It has probably been 5 or 6 years since I remember talking about this, but a member and I had a short discussion on newspaper versus regular paper.  He believed the ink contributed to less hook-ups.  He had fished side by side with someone like me who always used newspaper, when he had used plain.  It was something ridiculous like a 5:1 or 7:1 hook-up ratio.  That tip always stuck with me.

I've seen the same with two different ppl fishing with the same gear and bait, even trading places to stand and fish on the bank.  I guess you only get the ones that can read..lol

I've got zero evidence but would also worry about ink smell in my eggs.  I do know that very small scent differences can make a difference, and especially for salmon, so I avoid anything that could add unwanted scent.  This includes during curing and while fishing.

I will look to see if I can find the original topic.  I think it was egg curing recipes.
