peaches aren't in season now so we are just using juice....btw this is the best stuff i have ever made....WOW !

Where does one find peach juice?

You can buy peach juice / syrup at most grocery stores...12 or 16 ounce cans.  Just finished another quart down at our daughter's house...gonna have to stay the nite...everyone loves it

Well I cooked up a 1/2 batch today. Tasted really good while it was still warm, gonna be even better when chilled.

Cant say I've ever seen peach juice in a store (worked in grocery for 27 years too) so I used canned peach nectar (found in the Mexican aisle) I tweaked the recipe a bit too. For a 1/2 batch I used 1 fifth peach schnapps, 1 fifth peach flavored vodka, and 1 cup 180proof everclear.

Cant wait for the weekend so I can sample it in earnest.

just talked with my buddy who got the juice and it wasn't the nectar like i previously posted...he bought gallon jugs at Wal-Mart on the same isle that has apple juice/cider, etc...he said the label was Oregon (something) peach juice.  gonna try to get a pic and post it

glad you liked the taste...its going fast so gonna cook up another batch next week...using some 184 proof home-made corn squeezins but my supply is running low on that so will have to still off some more of that

will put a hydrometer on the peach pie we made to see what the temp is

so put the hydrometer in the peach pie and am having problems....don't know what the issue is but it won't register the alcohol content...don't know if it because of the viscosity of the liquid or because it is mixed...normally when i'm done stilling a batch of home-made i can put some in the hydrometer and it will let me know what temp/proof the juice is.  any way as far as booze content of this recipie  i don't know...2 gallons of peach juice plus 2 fifths of peach schnapps and a 1/2 gallon of 180 proof ...that would tend me to belive that you wouldn't want to opereate machinery or drive after consuming some of this delicious nectar...i will try to do some further studies to find out the alcohol content but don't know why...its dam good

You can't get alcohol content because you have stuff other than alcohol and water. The specific gravity is off. You would have to calculate it... I'm sure you can find an online calculator. I found one when we made Kaluah  out of everclear from oregon.

  Looks tasty. I've been messing around with different recipes after the Apple pie I made. Tried a Pineapple Coconut recipe that went straight down the drain after sitting for a month. And have a Cherry pie version that's​been sitting for a month , opened a jar last night and pretty sure it's getting dumped also.
