Gonna be tough to see moose at 100 degrees but you can learn the roads and the lay of the land.  I'll send you a pm. You will find a cow no problem.

My advice is to cover a lot of ground during primetime.  They quite often come out of the thick stuff to feed early and late in the day, and middle of the days are pretty slow, so that's a good time to be looking for sign so that you can check back again at primetime.  Keep moving and cover a lot of ground and you won't have any problem finding moose.  As mentioned, they are big, so take care as to where you dump one or the hunt may become a different type of memory than you bargained for.

Thanks everyone for the pms and advice.  Headed out in just under a week and looking forward to it. Everyone seems to agree to shoot it on the uphill side :chuckle:

Howdy Washington muley, I am in the process of planning a recon trip to Chewelah to do some scouting very soon. October was a major goat-ropin' for us,now on to the important things. The latter part of next week is looking good to  head north, I'm hoping. :hello: :hello:ff
