Salt only is not baiting bear .So your telling me I can't put salt or minerals out for deer at my game cams .Comments like this is why I don't like posting here anymore .And further more you better go post that on about the other dozen posts in the trail cam thread about your feeling on salt as bait for bears.Can a mod please delete this thread I'm done posting my pics on trail cam thread,Thank You.

Anything you put physically put out in the woods, that attracts bears is bait.  Period.  This has been beat to death on here.

(d) As used in this subsection, "bait" means a substance placed, exposed, deposited, distributed, scattered, or otherwise used for the purpose of attracting black bears to an area where one or more persons hunt or intend to hunt them.

what he is saying is, you by law cannot shoot a bear over anything that was placed there unnaturally to attract game. I understand you placed it there to attract deer to your cam but you wouldn't be able to shoot a bear that was on the salt or coming to or going away from the salt.

you can put bait out for bear to take pictures ect just cant shoot them. no one is bashing you just trying to tell you that you could get in trouble for shooting that bear over salt. it is NOT legal
