What a bunch of crap! I love how they are trying to cover up the shooting that happened in the fall. I have seen more bears in the last year than I have ever seen. I would like to know how they really get their numbers. I am sick of this states wildlife division. We have to many  :tree1: in this damn state.  :bash:

Looks like we will have to fight this every year for the next couple. I do agree with the tag limit. If they want to lower the rate they need to drop the second tag. that would be a better starting point if this, "biological justification" BS is true.

Has anyone done the Records Disclosure for the files that InsideWDFW has suggested? I was going to do it, but I didn't want to create more work for F&W if someone here has already done it...and will share it.

This is a good thing for now and just like the rest of you, I am also concerned for the future. If the population is a problem then maybe 1 bear per season is a great option, but for the state to even request cutting out our August opportunities is ridiculous. It just seems to me that our "great" state of washington, and activist groups such as PETA are working pretty hard to diminish our hunting privileges by focusing on the activities that not as many people take part in. Remember hound hunting? Not enough support to protect themselves. That is why it is so important for everyone to be aware, and concerned for any changes in hunting regulations. whether this be a season you participate in or not, we can never have enough support.

I would like to know where they get there numbers too, there are so many damn bears up in North eastern Wa.I remember back when hounding and baiting were legal, it was tough to do a spot and stalk hunt for bears, now its a pick and choose hunt, nothing to see 5 bears a day, the locals are fed up with them, they are rampant up there yet there is like 5 spring tags and it opens in sept lol too funny, also we hunt up there for several weeks and see maybe a couple of hunters, so whos killing all these bears up here, pretty quiet
