Any one try this?

I was surprised no one I saw was floating powerbait off the bottom like a put and take trout lake.

http://salmonuniversity.com/archives/6864

Given that brown powerbait probably looks like their food pellet seems like it should match the hatch.

I've heard of people using powerbait successfully, I tried catfish pellets under a bobber, but they just swam by it.

Yeah I tried that yesterday when I ran out for just a couple hours and it did not work for me, we anchored up inside Secret Harbor in 30 feet of water had plenty of fish marked as they swam under us but no luck. Also tried a small dart for a bit, not too many people where we were but lots of nets out in the shallows.

We are going to do some more seining targeting these fish on this Friday at 4 at Watmough Bight, anyone is welcome to come.  Of course there are no guarantees we will catch enough to share.
Generous offer, I can't, but Thank you

The only salmon you can get here in OKC is Atlantic, unless you go to a specialty store and pay for King, Silver or Sockeye.
I bought 10 lbs of King fillets for my wife's birthday (at $19.25 LB) when you put those next to the store bought Atlantics, the store bought Atlantics are very pale colored (with coloring added)  they also have a very slight taste, not a bad taste, just not as pronounced of a flavor as the  King, Silver or Sockeye.
Those fish Loki shows are much better looking then the store bought version.
The Atlantics smoke up very nice.

Looks like a couple good schools of Atlantics have escaped the tribal nets and found their way into area 8-1 and part of 8-2.
Too bad we (the rec.fishers) can't fish for them.

Wdfw has a YouTube video on catching them.  If MA10 wasn't doing well, I would be tempted to give it a shot.

It looks like the nets have done a good job of cleaning out the bay by the pens.  They've even got a net on Decatur now.  :(

Look to the shallow bays for jumpers if you still want to find some.

I was wondering about that there were an awful lot of them the other day

I'm heading out to the Sky near Monroe with my kids to see if there are any humpies around tomorrow.  Any more details on the Atlantics in this Sky?  Thanks in advance if you are willing to share.

What's the problem with potentially seeing them in the Sky? :dunno:
