Got one to do a mount with... (Hybrid bird)
« on: January 14, 2018, 08:00:16 PM »
Hi All,

Did a Snohomish Valley hunt this morning with a buddy.  Had a flight of wigeon come bombing through the decoys.  One drake looked different than all the rest.  I pulled the trigger on him and dropped him and two others flying in the group with one shot.  Dog went out to get the birds and it was cool to see this bird up close.  He appears to be a hybrid between American Wigeon and Eurasian Wigeon.  The green going across the eyes should not be there on a Eurasian bird.  Anyhow, I've never got one like this previously so I'm going to have him mounted.

Nice looking bird. Where are you going to go for the mount?
