Swarovski 25x50 wide angle
« on: March 25, 2018, 06:18:18 PM »
Anyone have one ? Thinking about picking on up for my 65mm, not sure if I would miss the extra 10 zoom or not.
Thanks Allen

I have one on my Leica. I rarely want more zoom on the top end but often wish I could zoom out further on the lower end. I've never used it side by side with a regular 20-60 so can't speak to the improvement in field of view

Haha I have been thinking of the same thing.  My sweet spot for the Swaro is between 20 and 25, rarely do I get above 40 on the zoom.

I have one, really like it.  Can't say I miss the top end at all except maybe target bullet holes at long range.  Mine makes out 338 holes in paper plates at 500.   Would not want any less view.   look at the specs you see it has a lot wider field of view even at 25 power than the 20-60 does at 20 power.
