(Another) What would he score-ish? Blacktail
« on: July 24, 2018, 09:41:01 AM »
This big guy popped up on a camera in an area I was intending to scout for bear. Him and another "smaller" 4 point.
Never seen a blacktail this big in an area that I could actually hunt before.
What is your guess at his score?

Im about as good at scoring animals as hunting them... so pretty piss poor but my WAG would be 115"

Pretty buck.

Nice buck. I really don't know how to judge score very well, but I like to guess anyway, so I'll say 120.

Thanks. I am really hoping he hangs around. Might have to pick up a multiseason and dust off the bow. He has been on the same cam and I have seen him in person in the same spot since the beginning of june.

My guess is 110.

Go start picking up green translucent apples out of peoples yards right now.
They need to be good ones. Not rotten. Not the hard type of apples.
Start dumping a 5 gallon bucket every 2-3 days at your stand location in front of the camera.

110 +/-
As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.

Right around 110.  Shooter for sure.  Good luck.
Pain is temporary, achieving the goal is worth it.

I didn't say it would be easy, I said it would be worth it.

100 - 105 forks not to deep and they always look heavier with velvet. Shooter for sure.

I have a buck that resembles that one. Mine is just shy of 110 gross so I would give that buck 110+
