I will use cold ones, ribeyes and some awful cute women in booty shorts to convert you, if even for the day!🙃

It’s the only bullet my ar likes. But if you wanna slap some ribeyes down to try and change my mind I’ll have no choice but to give it a shot. Would definitely need to punch some primers though to work up an appetite after talking about nosler 🙃

I recall a couple local clowns calling Accubond’s “Accubomb’s”. Furthest from the truth. Picture perfect performance there.👍560 yards .375 Ultra 260gr AccuBond.

Absolutely love the .375 H&H. My first 6 Elk were with a H&H and a 300gr Hornady BTSP. Crushed them, all shot were from 40-80 yards in the timber.
What bullet would you run from a 416 ??
Quote from: kentrek on August 06, 2018, 11:50:06 AMWhat bullet would you run from a 416 ??The 300gr Barnes TSX has a reputation for speed, accuracy and terminal pefromace. For across the board shots. For the in close to mid range heavy hitter shots. I would opt for a 400gr “Sledge Hammer”. Not to over look the 400gr Nosler Partition.

Hmmmmm. How about one of the Ruger stainless/Hogue 20” Alaskan’s in .416 Ruger. The model they don’t make anymore. Frost it with a Leupold 2.5-8 and the kicker! Trade a 6.5 Creeedmoor for the rifle, rings, dies, 400 plus bullet, 300 pieces of brass and it’s already a proven half moa big bore. Will that work? YES! YES! And YES! Bye, bye Creedmoor.👍 Talked today with Hammer Bullets, they said they would work me up a 300gr and we would go from there. The rifles accuracy load right now is with the 300gr TSX.
I do need to get some quick release Warne rings and a different scope. I just made it work with what I had for the time being. My thoughts for a ideal scope would be a Leupold 2.5-8 with a elevation turret.👍
I may give a peep sight a try. Most of my bears at shot at well under 100 yards. A scope isn’t a must. https://www.newenglandcustomgun.com/Gun_Services/Peep_Sights.asp
