Hmmm .375 or .416 Ruger?
« on: August 05, 2018, 07:41:14 PM »
I’ve already decided. Just want to hear from the guys who think their .270 Winchester’s have recoil.

Here we go! .375 or .416 Ruger? Eastern WA, Bear, Muley, Elk Rifle. For in the timber to 300 yards or so. 300gr bullet for both. 20” barrel , controlled feed.

I’ll even tolerate the “Google Foo” clowns 🤡.

I don’t think you can go wrong either way. Probably 416 if I was choosing now since I’ve played with a 375 for a few years.

Big bullets are more better!

I had a chance at a 416 weatherby a couple years ago. Looking back it really was too good to pass but by the time I came to my senses someone else grabbed it up.

I still think that 45 rum is sweet!

Hmmmmm. Could a .416 Ruger be capable of 1/2 MOA or less? With ** CRAP 💩 ** Barnes bullets.🙃

One of each?

I've been eyeballing the Ruger Guide Gun in 375 Ruger and 416 Ruger.    I'd say 416.

375

More bullet option and speed incase your 300 yard limit needs to be 500 yards

I have some range time coming up with a 375 ruger and big hammers...should be interesting

My .375 Ultra’s have me covered for the long stuff. .375 Ultra, bedded into a Mountain Rifle stock. I recall a couple local clowns calling Accubond’s “Accubomb’s”. Furthest from the truth. Picture perfect performance there.👍

560 yards .375 Ultra 260gr AccuBond.

Ive called them accubombs!  :chuckle:
Doesn’t mean I dislike them any.  I have a few hundred on the bench in .375 300 grain variety.

Several years ago I took a mule deer doe on a damage control hunt with my 375 Ruger Guide Gun. I used the factory Hornady 270gr. load. Now I load a Nosler 300gr. Accubonds. I haven't shot anything with the handload yet. Sure it would do the job with a Nosler 300gr. Accubond chronographed at 2590fps out of my Ruger Guide Gun.
Nothing like a Remington model 700xcr.

only one nosler product I’ll buy and not cause I like it.  It’s the only bullet my ar likes.  But if you wanna slap some ribeyes down to try and change my mind I’ll have no choice but to give it a shot.   Would definitely need to punch some primers though to work up an appetite after talking about nosler 🙃
