When you check in ask the guys who patrol. They are all good guys and will help you out if needed.

I had the deer tag about 7 years ago and the elk tag last year.  I took a little 4x5 bull but the guards said the first 2 days you want to scramble over to the feeding fields because that is where they like to hang out.  I saw lots of 3 point bucks spread throug the unit and i took a 3 pointer when i had the deer tag.  I took a photo from the guard shack of every kill location from last season i can try and send it to you to give you an idea of where to start.  It was a really fun hunt.  I also found fresh cougar tracks back near eagle lake.

The guy I know just retired out of the shed as a warden. He has some great stories from working many years in there. They seem to be really helpful in there. Good luck there are some really nice bucks in there
