got a vortex diamondback tac  was 350  i have 4x16  but you can get 6x25   also if i had the $ i would look vipers

Yawn..... you could buy those other scopes if you want to do math on your phone before you shoot, and watch the animal walk away.  OR you can just buy a huskamaw, get a range, dial and shoot.  Easy peasy....

I’ve helped a couple guys on good tags, they both had to do math and dial for yardage.  They both either never got a shot or missed. Dial and shoot!

just like a huskemaw, you could just make a simple drop chart based on one set of atmospheric conditions (a less accurate way to do it, than actually inputting real time data) and it would take the same amount of time as a yardage turret. Been there done that.

Many rangefinders now days  can output moa’s also so its range dial and shoot with any turret scope.

Yardage turrets are for people who don't understand precision long range shooting.  Not a slam. They just don't know what they don't know when in comes to putting a bullet precisely on a target, on the first shot, at long range.

I've had guys show up to my classes with Huskemaws and yardage turrets and promptly get educated...and pissed that they bought into some dumb marketing hype.

The single best thing anyone can do for themselves, if they really want to get into long range shooting is:

• Take a class from a competent instructor.  Many will have "class guns" you can borrow or rent. I've got one that my students regularly use to pound 5-7" groups at 1K at the end of the day like it's child's play.
• Go be an RO at some of the club and national level matches here in the state and look at what everyone is using for rifles, optics, gear, etc. (RO's can pull some SWEET stuff off some of the prize tables that are out there!)
• Go shoot some matches.  You can bring your own rifle or there are loaner rifles out there.

We have some of the best shooters on the planet right here in the Pacific Northwest and they can shoot any glass they want. Winning and losing can come down to the difference of one missed shot in a 250 round weekend PRS/NRL match. There's just too much on the line for the top shooters to use substandard glass.  I've yet to see a Huskemaw at any of the matches I've been to.  That alone should tell you all you need to know about their product.

Ive got some learning to do but isnt yardage turrets based off of MOA?  I understand that atmosphere can change which can/will have an impact on what distance you should shoot for, but unless you go full enchilada with a range finder that puts considers atmosphere and angles why go with MOA turret?
