Fresh Blacktail Out the Door (Charlies Taxidermy) 4x4 from 1975

This is a buck an ol'timer killed back in 1975, year before I was born  Anyway, he wanted to get it mounted finally so I pulled a nice cape out of my stock and mounted him up for the guy. Thought you guys would like to see an Old rack on a new cape. There are allot of people that don't realise you can use a new fresh cape that didn't come off the original buck and mount it up. Same goes with elk and other critters.

Damn you do good work.  You'll never be invited to my house.  I don't want you to see the crap that I do. LOL   Very nice.  You could use your work as reference material (which you should never do), so thats an ultimate in compliments.

Thanks Doug, its getting there. I keep trying different things all the time. Usually small but seem to make a differance. Not perfect by no means  There are still stuff I need to get better at.

Not at all trying to be a downer but it looks like in the first picture that his eyes are not at all matching.  The one on the right seems to be more open than the one on the left.  All in all you got a good mount just watch the eyes a little closer.  Just giving constructive criticism not being negative.

It isnt off as much as it looks, good eye though. I will post a picture of it outside. Shadowing or something is throwing it off a bit. I was wondering if someone would notice  I did once I posted that picture
