Personally I say Tundra. Gas mileage sucks but very reliable. I have put 90k on mine and have not had to do a thing other than tires and brakes. I know of a new F150 that has been to the shop a couple times and less than 2 years old. I do like the longer bed in the Ford with crew cab. I also really really like the looks of the Fords.
I love my tundra. It's been a great truck. With that said, I'd go f150 between the two options. Those little barbie beds are pointless for my uses and a crew can is a must with kids (my tundra is a quad cab ). Let'snot even talk about comparing mileage After all that I'd get a GMC

What’s the real world mileage with 3.5L EcoBoosts?

To worry about. just things like the doors potentially flying open or the transmission not shifting. You know the small stuff. My ford still Hasn’t lost any parts driving in the woods like Toyota guy. It came down to the tundra and f150 for me. Longer bed and fuel mileage were the decision makers for me.
Just think positive, after the warranty runs out you will have two turbos that at some point one or both will need to be replaced. What are those going to cost? I do like the sounds of the longer bed though, but not enough to want to buy a ford.
