Personally I say Tundra.  Gas mileage sucks but very reliable.  I have put 90k on mine and have not had to do a thing other than tires and brakes.  I know of a new F150 that has been to the shop a couple times and less than 2 years old.  :chuckle:  I do like the longer bed in the Ford with crew cab.  I also really really like the looks of the Fords.
That was all the recalls and oil pan change. Hardly anything. To worry about.  :chuckle: just things like the doors potentially flying open or the transmission not shifting. You know the small stuff.

My ford still Hasn’t lost any parts driving in the woods like Toyota guy.  :yike:

It came down to the tundra and f150 for me. Longer bed and fuel mileage were the decision makers for me.

What’s the real world MPG with the 3.5L EcoBoosts?

I love my tundra.  It's been a great truck.  With that said, I'd go f150 between the two options.  Those little barbie beds are pointless for my uses and a crew can is a must with kids (my tundra is a quad cab :bash:).  Let'snot even talk about comparing mileage  :chuckle:

After all that I'd get a GMC  :chuckle:

You were ok till you mentioned gmc. I’d drive a Prius before willfully choosing anything gm!

I average 20. Average for my last trip to Colorado was 17 including 3 guys and a truck full of gear driving down at 85+ or in 4wd (snow and ice)and back. Also driving around the hunt area all week.

But that's because you're not right in the head.  Eco-fail.....  Our GM"s haul your gangly-legs anyway.

Just think positive, after the warranty runs out you will have two turbos that at some point one or both will need to be replaced. What are those going to cost? I do like the sounds of the longer bed though, but not enough to want to buy a ford.

The doors don’t “fly open” as much as they just won’t close in the first place. Big difference.

At least the frame doesn’t rust clear through.

I’ve replaced 2. In 6 years.

Edit to say by “I’ve” I mean my guys. Not me.

Over here where there’s traffic I think they’ll get 15-17 if you keep your foot out of it. Stopping and going w/ turbos spooling up all the time cuts down on the mpg’s.

Those 2 still under warranty?

We all know it is good until the warranty runs out, then your waiting for something to go south..lol

Honestly I don’t think you can really go wrong with either truck. Steer clear of the dodge 1500’s. We have upgraded our older company trucks to the Dodges 1500 and all of ours have been in to the stealership for recalls more times than I can remember. I miss my old 07 Megacab with the 5.9.
