People care way too much about this if you ask me. It comes down to a brand thing. There aren’t any current bad trucks. They’re kinda like bows if you ask me. Go drive a few and buy the one you like the best. They’re all good and occasionally there’s a bad one. I personally don’t care a lot about resale. My last Chevy truck i owned for 10 years. I traded it in on a new explorer for my wife. It had 250k miles on it. Resale was minimal at best and I was ok with that. Currently own a 2006 Jeep I bought mostly new. It’s got 185k miles on it. Again, resale won’t matter as it will be totally sacked out when I’m done with it. Here’s a fact. At some point someone is going to get a bad Chevy/Ford/Toyota/Dodge/whatever and it’s going to have problems. Fact. That’s why there are service departments and warranties and trained technicians. They’re machines. They’ll break. Casey- I don’t think I’ll buy a Chevy only because I think they’re ugly. I really like the look of the F150 and working for Ford, I would get a smoking deal on one. If I still worked for Dodge I’d probably buy a Dodge.

After driving a Tacoma for 9 years, my F150 is superior in every way.No frame or bed rust on any of my Toyota trucks that I have had. Been driving a Toyota truck since 1994. My last Tundra did have a recall out for potential frame rust. Took it into the stealership and it checked out with no issue. Imagine that no rust. There's a reason Toyota trucks have a great reputation for reliability and their resale value is as good as it gets. If they were junk then they woudn't be so highly regarded.https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/frame-rust-years.382824/http://www.carproblemzoo.com/ford/f-150/frame-rust-problems.php

Ford does not. Do you know why?
Tundra, hands down. I know people are excited by Ford's new engine, and it's power, but lets see that engine at 200,000 miles. My Tundra still has the same power are torque it did when new, and has zero frame rust or squeaks or rattles.....at 237K! Never seen any other make of truck that has that long term quality.
