He is doing his Dustin Hoffman impression again.
He's an excellent driver.  Dad let's him drive the car on Sunday's.
Pain is temporary, achieving the goal is worth it.

I didn't say it would be easy, I said it would be worth it.

Relocation of an additional 52 antelope has taken place. Monday there were 24 released and Tuesday we released an additional 28. Thanks again to the efforts of the Yakama Nation all of their volunteers they sent down, Seattle Puget Sound Chapter of SCI and Shikars $$$ and volunteers, we have completed what we hope to be a successful effort.
We have planned a survey to take place on and off the rez in approximately two week to attempt to get another count on what we have. The additional collars we put out hopefully help out.

We also owe a great thanks to Nevada Department of Wildlife also on this project as it would not have happened with out them. They have been great to work with and we at SCI have additional plans to help them out on some of their projects.
Hopefully some of you come to our banquet on Feb 23, in Lynnwood to help us raise money for these projects. If nothing else you can watch the protesters show up attempting to get us boycotted. Amazing what those AR's don't realize... what us wildlife organizations can and do accomplish.

awesome work

I haven't seen any in awhile.  A few months anyway.....

I see the value of adding new blood for some genetic diversity.....

Love the idea, still hate the process.  :-X
We must reject the idea that every time a law's broken, society is guilty rather than the lawbreaker. It is time to restore the American precept that each individual is accountable for his actions.

As for NDOW there is no exchange of any funds on this project..here at SCI we receive the invoice for the helicopter crews and pay it..as for the collars we order them also and prepay for 3 years worth of data. These collars ping 3 locations per day so there where about are well known when you have that data..they are also designed to drop off in 3 years so we have the ability to reuse them..we do not put collars on antelope that are younger than 2 1/2 years old.
What NDOW does get is a federal grant for all our hours from the time we leave our homes here in Washington until we get back home plus mileage. This is for each volunteer whether from here or Nevada as they to have individuals whom help on this project.
Also the survey date has been changed to Feb. 5-7 of next week. No comment about our Good ole WDFW whom is in charge of this and paying for it.
If anyone is in the area and sees any of the antelope please pm me their where abouts so we can get an accurate count.
I’ll also see if I can figure out how to post some pics from the captures.

And this is why SCI does it. This is WA and these are pronghorn that were born and raised here.

Very cool project you are doing,  thank you all for your efforts.  Has there been any succesfull reproduction within the original translated herds?
The size of the original herd grew before additional transplants were made.
That's fantastic  that they are doing so well and numbers are growing from there original group. Thanks everyone for the quick answers and fawn pics.
