Wa Gov Tag

$24k for the WA gov mule deer tag tonight.  I thought pretty hard about it at that price.  Great night at the Expo.   Antelope Island tag went for $305k.

Wow! Yeah ain’t worth it in my opinion. I’ve seen plenty of 200 class bucks in WA but I know there are a lot better opportunities with 24k out there.

Haha if I had pics of them they would be on my wall. Old bucks in that category are very smart

Keep in mind that not everyone that bids on these tags is doing so because they expect a 200" buck. Some do it because they just love hunting, and the tag gives them the ability to leave work and go hunt, whenever they want and mostly wherever they want.

That is the real appeal in my opinion! :twocents:

Should have bought a 7.3, but I digress.

Yeah, same number of 200" bucks seen but money ahead in your poor choice of truck repair. :chuckle:

Yeah I agree with you 100! It would be amazing to have that much hunting opportunity here. I guess I just said what first came to my mind, which is almost always about score

Doing the rough math from just last night 1.7 million generated in auction items last night. Still more item for tonight’s auction.

:yeah:
And 24k is a pretty good deal in my mind to be able to hunt your home state all year with any method.

Keep in mind also... most of the folks buying these tags don’t care much about what kind of deal they’re getting.

I’d also like to know where there are plenty of 200” bucks in Washington. I’d venture to say that some of the best mule deer hunters in this state haven’t seen many 200” bucks here and I mean no disrespect to anyone .  Maybe back in the 1950’s.
