CCA and NSIA tried to sneak the Columbia fee in at midnight but the House said no.
My understanding is that they will still put gillnets back in the Columbia, as the commission voted to abandon the CR Reform plan. One of the Bills (I believe the House version), included a gillnet ban, but both the Senate and House bills died.

It sounds like Brian Blake pushed for a 4 year extension of the CR endorsement cost and the senate would only compromise to a one year extension. No deal meant the extension didn't happen. Did Hunters Heritage testify in committee in support of the fee increase as @bearpaw heard?
The Hunters Heritage Council and Puget Sound Anglers both testified in support of the full 60 million for WADFW including the fee increase.
