Skagit River Kings, who's fishing? I know it's only the first day, but just wondering if anyone wants to brag or talk about fish showing on the surface, water clarity, water level, number of boats, etc.

Saw a fair amount of boats attempting to catch them. Haven't heard of any caught yet.

I would imagine a few are trickling in. Probably going to have to put in about an hour per inch right now.

It’s been a couple years since I tried this fishery out. I need to get back up there

I heard of 7 fish caught. So, their must be a few in the river. Most boats skunked and one had 3 in it.

Wish I lived closer. The south end rivers where I fish they usually dont start showing up until mid to late July.

For those of you planning on fishing the Skagit this month you might want to call this Tribal fishing hotline number 360-466-4112 press 1 for Swinomish then 2 for fin fish.
This should help in choosing what day you want to wet a line for a fish that might have made it through the nets.

Anyone having any luck on the kings. Water has come up a lot this week with these warm temps. Lots of snow melt.

Newer to the Skagit and fishing the rivers in NW Washington. Is there a gauge and subsequent CFS you guys look at when fishing the Skagit. I have most of the Southern and Coastal rivers figured out. On these rivers I understand what a good bump is and what is too much of a bump turning a river to chocolate milk. What would be a low flow for a drift fishing trip and what would be a high and I should stick to the bank instead if go at all. Working about an hour from this river so I can't check in on it as much as I'd like and would hope I could watch the gauges. Does someone have some insight.
