If you want to go above OEM, NAPA and other mediocre crap, skip it all and go EBC brakes.

Sounds like you might like EBC Yellowstuff truck brakes.  I've been buying EBC exclusively because I was impressed with their brakes and quality.   You'll pay more though.

I've done quite a few of my own brakes jobs and for my family, I'm not a certified mechanic.

I haven't tried bendex.
OEM on these trucks are far from mediocre crap.

I didn't say OEM was crap, there's a comma then a different category of brakes I deem lesser than OEM with OEM being the benchmark.

OEM is its own stand alone category and is fine, unless a guy wants more stopping power than OEM or some other customized application, like my old 95 Dodge which didn't stop for crap on OEM brakes so I modified them to stop better and it does now!

then NAPA and other (box store brands) are labeled as crap = below OEM

then there's above OEM which there's plenty of brands, I choose EBC because I've used it several times and really liked them, but I haven't tried all brands in the category of "better then OEM"

hope that clears it up  :chuckle:

I have had good luck with the power stop rotors . the z36 severe duty pad works ok . I have used the orielly brake best ceramic (made by Bosh )they work good with new rotors but require some break in with out towing . the wagner thermoquiet also are a good pad . I used to use the napa adaptive one pads but in a years tme i got a pile of come backs for pulsation after two years with none , so they changed something there.if you go with delco only use the oe pad not the advantage . Centric also makes a premium rotor that is very nice along with a good ceramic pad .  :twocents:

Thanks to all of you for the information you have shared with me I really appreciate it. I am pretty sure that I am going to buy new factory rotors and pads, every thing else on the truck is still OEM  and doing well.
Thanks Fliesitdies
