Is The "Ignore" Option Really Necessary?
« on: April 01, 2009, 12:54:56 PM »
A moderator even told me recently, they felt you should address an issue you have with someone instead of the "ignore", I have to agree. Everyone on here should be adult enough to be a big boy (or girl) and get thing's off their chest, ignoring people constantly to me is a bit rediculous, I've only done it once to respond to others that had done the same to me and felt the need to announce it, but in retrospect I wouldn't mind of the option went away altogether  :twocents:

FYI, if you disagree with this post I will ignore you :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:

I don't think it is necessary however in some cases it may come in handy for a few to be seperated for a while to cool off !!

I think in the end though If you were on fire even those you ignore would be in line to piss on you !!!  :chuckle:

It would be really nice to be able to ignore anyone you choose. I choose to ignore those that I want but it can be difficult.  Just because you choose to try and ignore someone doesn't mean they are going to ignore you.  It would be nice to have that option so you don't have to listen to someone if you didn't want, regardless of who they are.  Sometimes things stay healthier that way.   :twocents:

On a side note, I wish we could ignore the politics section.  That's a hard addiction to quit...   :chuckle:

A couple month's perhaps, I'm sure you mods can see the list ;)

Now that you mention it, I do recall one or two I forgot about that I left on there... Funny thing is, even though they annoy me, I'll still click and see what they have to say sometimes, anyone else guilty of that?

now that I have harassed you, I can say I don't use it and see no use for it, but that doesn't mean someone else won't.  If I don't want to read what someone posts then I jsut won't read it.

That's pretty hard to do when it gets personal though Bone...

Yes, unless they are a moderator. Go into your profile and click the upper left icon for ignore, you can add from there.
