Saw a nice buck chasing does doing the lip curl this morning in Leavenworth. 4 more sleeps until my quality permit starts. Not sure who is rutted up more after watching that,  me or the deer.

Deer in my area are starting to get active.  Bucks following does and sparring with other bucks.  Looking like the timing couldn't be better.

I think I sent you a note, but yes, went out, saw 10 bucks, all were doe'd up and active.  Doe weren't really interested yet, but the bucks didn't care.  THey werent rut dumb yet.  Watched two "groups" come together and two bucks circle each other, did the stare down, but no snort wheeze.   Timing is good.   Big cold snap this week.

I got a quick glimpse of a possible shooter this weekend while cutting firewood, hopefully he stays in the area.
