Snakes in chukar terrain

Hey folks,
I realize I'm probably only asking you to speculate, but if any seasoned chukar hunters would care to offer their input I'd appreciate it.
I'm heading over to central WA for a few days to chase these little devils with my pup. Given the time of year and Temps we've been having,  is there reason to be concerned? 
Will be targeting the area between Wenatchee and Chelan.
I am aware that if there still active that the afternoons can be more of an issue.
Appreciate any input!

I’ve been out a few times and wouldn’t be concerned. I havent seen or heard of any. I’m sure this late in the year you’re good to go

They can be out as late as November. That being said I always tried to get my dogs back to the car by the time it hits 50 degrees. At lower than 50 degrees I felt the snake would be sluggish enough it wouldn’t be able to get the dogs.

I wouldn't be too concerned unless you have your dog running through areas where snake dens could be located.

When I used to bird hunt, November 15th would be my start day for hunting the snakiest of areas around Naches. Never seen a rattlesnake out past the 2nd weekend of November.

A good indication that it is getting close to 50 degrees is that you will notice bugs starting to get more active

The 50 degree rule isn't a good one. I had a dog bit right in front of me at 22 degrees in Montana while pheasant hunting. That was early October. This late in the year you should be good though.

Only found one this year and that was opening weekend without a dog. You should be good. Good luck out there!

I spend a lot of time in that territory. I killed 6 Rattlers opening weekend (2 days).  1 scared my daughter bad enough to make her cry (we live in snake country so not her first time). My dog almost got bit. But I haven't seen a snake in over a month so I doubt you will see any.

I ran on to a rattlesnake last year in 101 sherman Nov 12th last year. Still be vigilant.

Other than a starving juvenile I found once December 3 in the Colockum, I rarely ever see rattlers past October.

We were in the birds Friday afternoon and Saturday morning, but only managed one. Pup was destroying herself in talus and scree, so moved on to quail in a different area and we did much better.
Any advice on treating foot wounds is welcomed! Maybe a stupid question, but any thoughts on those paw booties for hunting in this type of terain? Im really hooked on the idea of chukar hunting and found a good spot, but concerned about her seriously damaging her feet.

Comes with the territory. Personally I’ve lost a dog booty every time I tried them.
