No one can answer that for you.
Personally no.
I would take the extra 10 days of hunting.

There are a lot bigger out there but he is a decent buck anyone would be proud of.

Doesn't matter what anyone else thinks. It only matters what you think. Why bother asking? Not trying to be antagonizing, but I think you're stressing and overthinking it, and don't think you're clear about what matters in a hunt. Good luck to you!

Lots of factors that aren't included but I am sure you have all the information to make the decision.  Only you can decide.

Depending on area, how many years it took me to draw and what I have seen during scouting I may or may not shoot that one.

General season?  Any day all day. But this is a special permit and just not enough information for me to say what I would do.

Good luck with your decision.
Pain is temporary, achieving the goal is worth it.

I didn't say it would be easy, I said it would be worth it.

A buck like that is actually pretty good for what most quality permit holders kill in this state, however with the time left I'd pass.

:yeah:  but.....if you would shoot that buck on the last day I would shoot him now.  You never know what is going to happen.  Rut was just starting to get going this last week around my place but when it's over it gets way tougher.  If it's all about the hunt I would keep hunting and enjoy it.  If you would shoot that buck on the last day I would shoot him today because there is no sure thing of seeing him again or a bigger one.

I probably would. Then I’d regret it! Late permits are a time to go big or nothing.

It would be interesting to get a better look at his tail. Looks like it has a black stripe indicative of a hybrid.
