Good. On the other hand if the antlers shrink from drying then maybe he will be under the limit at the time of trial? Maybe his defense could argue that antler width means antler only and that the velvet is not included? Just speculating but hope he gets hammered.

Agree. Penalties for poaching should be more harsh than they currently seem to be but there should be flexibility for sentencing. Sometimes people make stupid mistakes and should not be labeled a felon for that.

Agree. Penalties for poaching should be more harsh than they currently seem to be but there should be flexibility for sentencing. Sometimes people make stupid mistakes and should not be labeled a felon for that.

Good point. I would be happy with lifetime hunting license revocation.

One person shoots a trophy buck because its a trophy, another person shoots a doe on his own property to feed his family because he is out of work, this is clearly two different crimes imho.  One crime for that matter.
