I have tried several time without success to get a Badger into a cage.

Hopefully, someone can offer a tip or two.

I think foothold traps in Montana are still legal. Get some and find their burrows. Don't place them in an area frequented by loose pets.

Humptulips and Rainer 10,  I proudly and sorrowfully can claim I no longer live in King Inslee Kingdom.  Where Washington has been my home for the past 61 years. In just 32 days and counting I will officially be a Montana Resident.  Out here Badgers are considered a pest and can be trapped and hunted year round.  I have some new activity on my property so this evening I plan on convincing them that this is not a good place to reside.

Congrats on the move and glad to hear it is legal there.  I was surprised and disappointed to hear it was illegal here when I looked into it.  I am overrun with badgers on my property.  A new batch of babies just showed up.  Three more little guys to look for a home to tunnel out.

Best of luck getting rid of yours.

Sounds like a good reason to take the online trappers course. So you can get a cage trap and see if you can catch them. Study for a bit then take it, maybe takes a hr / hr and a half.
Just took the test and passed. Thanks for the tip.

I didn't say it would be easy, I said it would be worth it.

Badger's have a beautiful coat of Fur. With some luck you may even score a Double.

In my experience with badgers, you could get out and yell “hey badger!”, and it would come to whoop your @$%.

 :yeah:

Hard a pair charging/chasing me in 12” stubble  :chuckle: could barely see them except when they’d hit the tire tracks. Three guys running zig zag trying to make it back to the pickup.
