Jensenns hard core hunt pack
« on: April 11, 2009, 03:25:19 PM »
Anyone use one of these packs, was thinking of upgrading to a little larger pack for longer, and farther pack in hunts. From what I've seen and read it seems like a pretty sweet pack, want some input before I head down there to take a look.

I have never had it on my back in the woods, but have had it in my hands a few different times. It comes highly recommended. For me, I just seem to like the internal frame packs, they are more comfortable on my back. A buddy of mine uses it and loves it, as does guy eastman and others of his caliber.

Just got back from their store, my dad and I both picked one up. They seem to be very well built and have great features to them, especially the quick detach for your bow or rifle. Now I just have to wait for August 1st to do some serious testing.

i don't like the way they carry a rifle. i have no experience with them but i see a lot of timespent walking sideways through the timber to clear the rifle/bow. being able to ride a horse with the pack on is a good point though, but i don't have any horses to ride.
i have an eberlestock with a rifle scabbard and love it.

The thing I didn't like about the eberlestock is that the gun removal is a lot slower, and if you go to kneel down the gun hits the ground. I have a buddy with an eberlestock and he loves it so I guess its all in what your preference is. :twocents:
